What happens if the credit on my Telstra sim card runs out?

It is very rare that any of our customers run out of credit during the year. $45 has always been enough credit for 95% of our clients. 

The only reason that your emergency alarm will run out of credit is if you are using it to make phone calls regularly. If you are only using it in emergency situations then $45 credit should be more than enough for the year. 

In the rare event that your Medi Alarm runs out of credit, the device will still be able to contact 000. So help will always be within reach!

 3. Guaranteed access to immediate help with our optional 24/7 monitoring service

We understand that a lot of our customers have very busy family members, and they might not always be able to pick up the phone. 

That’s why we offer an additional 24/7 monitoring service for those customers who need it. 

If you choose to use the 24/7 monitoring then we will program the device to call our monitoring team when it is triggered.

Our team will stay on the phone with the wearer of the device, until emergency services or family arrive. 

This service is optional and costs an additional $50 per month.

 4. Emergency alarm programmed with up to 8 contacts

Our alarm for elderly people can be programmed with up to 8 phone numbers. The device will call through each number until somebody picks up the phone. 

This means that you can rest assured that you, or your loved one, is going to get access to a trusted source of help in an emergency. 

The device can be programmed to call 000, but we suggest that you make this the last phone number on your list. This is because 000 is always going to pick up, so it’s important to have your emergency contacts first on the list. 

5. Peace of mind with our GPS tracking and text messaging service

In addition to calling each contact programmed into the emergency alarm, the device will also send a text message to each contact with the GPS location of the alarm. 

This can give all family members and friends some peace of mind knowing where their loved one is. 

In the event that the wearer of the device has a fall and is unresponsive, the first person who picks up the phone will know exactly where to go to help them.
